SecureTalent has been exclusively engaged to appoint an IAM Engineering Lead for a leading Blue Chip organisation undertaking a significant transformation of its Identity & Access Management capability.

Reporting directly to the Strategic IAM Lead, this is a rare opportunity to become the technical authority for enterprise Identity & Access Management, taking ownership of the platforms, architecture and engineering practices that underpin secure access across a complex enterprise environment.

This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic platform ownership, offering the opportunity to influence the future direction of enterprise identity services while working across cloud, hybrid and modern authentication technologies.

The Prospect

n

As the IAM Engineering Lead, you'll be responsible for the engineering direction and technical governance of enterprise Identity & Access Management platforms.

n

You'll own the platform roadmap, drive continuous improvement and lead engineering initiatives across authentication, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, privileged access, identity lifecycle management and directory services.

n

Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Cyber Security and external delivery partners, you'll ensure IAM platforms remain secure, scalable and aligned with evolving business and regulatory requirements.

You'll also provide technical governance over managed service providers, acting as the senior escalation point for complex engineering challenges while championing automation,



secure-by-design principles and engineering excellence.

About You

n

You'll be an experienced IAM engineering leader who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while influencing enterprise-wide architecture and platform strategy.

n

You'll bring experience across:

n

- Enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM)
n
- Microsoft Entra ID and Okta
n
- Authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
n
- Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
n
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
n
- SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect (OIDC), LDAP and Kerberos
n
- Hybrid and cloud identity architectures
n
- Automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code (PowerShell, Python, Terraform or Ansible)
n
- Platform engineering, architecture and technical governance
n
- Vendor management and managed service oversight
n
- Zero Trust and modern identity security practices
n

You'll have the ability to lead technical conversations with engineers and architects while translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for senior stakeholders.
