Employment Type - Full time or Part time (4 days per week)

Salary - $77,200 - $110,143 per annum (inclusive of annual leave loading) + superannuation + vehicle options + mobile + laptop + options to boost salary up to $10,000

About The Role
n
We are looking for experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners to provide life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner at Everyday Independence, no two days will be the same. If you were here last week, these are some of the things you may have done:
n
n
- Working in the social model means you'll work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres
n
- Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding
n
- Building meaningful relationships with the participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
n
- Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
n
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
n
- Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges
n
- Attend weekly team meetings in the Hub; sharing stories of impact, coffee and laughs
n
- You'll tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor
n

Who We Are Looking For

To Work As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, You Will Have a Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Bachelor, Masters Or Graduate Diploma) And Relevant Registration Such As The Below
n
n
- If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
n
- If you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
n
- If you are a Social Worker, you will have a degree in Social Work and AASW membership
n
- If you are a Mental Health Nurse, you'll have a degree in Nursing and AHPRA registration
n
- You have a degree in Psychology, Psychological/Social Science or related field and BSPA membership
n
n
You'll also need:
n
n
- Be deemed as a Behaviour Support Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (evidence of letter required)
n
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
n
- A positive and versatile approach to work
n
- Robust communication skills and be a team player
n
- Commitment to personal and professional growth
n
- A valid Australian drivers license
n
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
n
- Working with Children Check
n
