Leading a team of eight, you will oversee service performance, platform lifecycle planning, technology delivery, vendor management and continuous improvement. This is a broad leadership role suited to someone who can balance operational reliability, risk, cost and stakeholder expectations.

What you'll be responsible for

n

n
- Leading and developing a team of eight technology professionals
n
- Ensuring critical platforms remain available, reliable, secure and fit for purpose
n
- Overseeing incident, problem, change, release and capacity management
n
- Developing platform roadmaps covering upgrades, scalability and obsolescence
n
- Delivering system enhancements and operational improvements
n
- Managing budgets, suppliers and commercial performance
n
- Building strong relationships across technology,



architecture, operations and delivery
n
- Driving automation, service improvement and stronger operational processes
n

n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Experience leading business-critical technology services in a complex environment
n
- Strong people leadership, mentoring and team development capability
n
- A solid understanding of IT service management practices
n
- Experience managing vendors and working within a multi-sourced setting
n
- Strong commercial judgement and budget management experience
n
- The ability to lead change while maintaining service continuity
n
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills
n

n

Experience within energy, utilities or another operationally critical sector will be highly regarded but is not essential.

n

Technology environment

n

Exposure to some of the following would be advantageous:

n

- Linux or Unix
n
- Kubernetes
n
- Oracle and PostgreSQL databases
n
- Oracle GoldenGate
n
- High-availability analytics platforms
n
- Real-time or near-real-time technology environments
n

n

Tertiary qualifications in technology, engineering or a related discipline are preferred. ITIL experience or certification would also be advantageous.

n
