Job Description
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we

n experienced Manager Procurement to join our team.
n
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Manager Procurement leads Council's procurement, contract management and stores
n functions, managing and coaching a team of nine procurement professionals.
n
This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping
n Council's procurement strategy, probity, governance and commercial practices. You will
n provide expert advice to the CFO, Executive and business leaders on complex,
n high-risk and high-value procurement and contract matters, while ensuring
n procurement processes are transparent, compliant and deliver value for money.
n
Working collaboratively across Council, you will drive
n procurement planning, sourcing, category management and supplier performance,
n balancing strong governance with responsive customer service. You will also
n oversee procurement systems, policies, reporting, training, stores operations
n and inventory management.
n
Success in this role will come from your ability to build
n trusted relationships, lead and develop a high-performing team, strengthen
n procurement capability across the organisation and deliver commercially sound
n outcomes that support Council's strategic objectives.
n
On a typical day this role will:
n
n
- Lead, coach and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver responsive, high-quality procurement and stores services.
n
- Advise the CFO, Executive and senior leaders on sourcing strategies, tendering, contract management and complex commercial risks.
n
- Provide strategic probity and governance advice and oversee procurement processes to ensure fairness, transparency, accountability and compliance.
n
- Guide complex, high-risk or financially material procurements to achieve defensible decisions and value-for-money outcomes.
n
- Review organisational expenditure, supply markets, contract performance and supplier performance, translating insights into sourcing and improvement opportunities.
n
- Partner with business areas to plan upcoming procurements, resolve commercial and contractual issues, and improve contract outcomes.
n
- Strengthen procurement policies, procedures, systems, reporting, training and templates to improve organisational capability and user experience.
n
- Oversee contract registers, compliance monitoring, supplier performance,
stores operations and inventory control.
n

To succeed in this role you will have:
n
n
- Degree level qualifications relevant to the role or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
n
- Extensive experience in government procurement, tendering and contract management
n
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic procurement advice to a broad range of stakeholders
n
- Extensive experience in a leadership role with strong people management skills, including managing performance, mentoring and coaching
n
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and contract management skills with a proven ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts to achieve required outcomes.
n
- A demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional service and outcomes for stakeholders
n
n
Remuneration and Benefits
n
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
n
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of
n $134,858 to $150,948 depending on skills and experience
n
This role also qualifies for a Leaseback or Vehicle
n allowance
n
Opportunity for performance based increases available after
n 12 months.
