Community Pharmacy Friendly Society was established in 1915, and was created as a mutual, not-for-profit organisation. Over the years we have operated many pharmacies across the east and southeastern suburbs of Victoria and have owned our two current pharmacies for over 35 years.

The Opportunity
n
We are seeking a passionate and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team at our Wantirna pharmacy.
n
Reporting to the Pharmacy Operations Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services, combining traditional dispensing responsibilities with an expanding range of professional healthcare services. We are looking for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care, committed to delivering outstanding customer service, and enthusiastic about growing professional services within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will be an accredited vaccinator with a strong interest in delivering MedsChecks and other professional pharmacy services. This role also supports expanded scope of practice initiatives in line with Victorian legislation.

Key Responsibilities include:
n
n
- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medications in accordance with legal and professional standards
n
- Provide medication counselling and tailored health advice to support positive patient outcomes
n
- Deliver qualified pharmacy services, including MedsChecks, vaccinations, health screenings, and chronic disease management
n
- Participate in expanded scope of practice services, including structured prescribing initiatives where appropriately qualified and authorised
n
- Promote health and wellbeing through preventative health programs and community health initiatives
n
- Collaborate with GPs and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care
n
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all professional, legal, and regulatory requirements
n
- Assist in the development and delivery of recent clinical services and continuous quality improvement initiatives
n
- Support pharmacy operations, including stock management, maintaining professional presentation standards, and mentoring pharmacy assistants and interns when required
n

Candidate Qualifications
n
n
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification)
n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist
n
- Accreditation to conduct HMRs and/or RMMRs (highly regarded but not essential)
n
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to evidence-based patient care
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- High attention to detail and commitment to professional excellenceAbility to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare professionals
n
- A proactive, enthusiastic, and patient-focused approach to pharmacy practice
n

Roster and Working Hours
n
This position is offered on a rotating two-week roster, providing a combination of weekday and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work the following roster:
n
Week 1
n
Monday: 11:00am – 7:00pm
n
Saturday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
n
Week 2
n
Saturday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
n
Sunday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
n
Applicants should be available to work the above roster on an ongoing basis and demonstrate flexibility to provide additional cover when required.
