About the Role
n
Reporting to senior leadership, the Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing facilities operations, asset management, contractor performance, compliance maintenance and capital planning across the Bankstown Sports Group.
n
This is a highly visible leadership role that combines strategic planning with hands‐on operational management. You will lead a dedicated facilities team while ensuring our venues remain safe, compliant, efficient and well‐maintained.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
- Leading the Facilities Management Department across seven venues and the Flinders Centre
n
- Ownership of all asset registers and associated capital replacement strategies
n
- Managing preventative, reactive and statutory maintenance programs across all sites
n
- Leading annual budget preparation, capital forecasting and cost‐control initiatives
n
- Managing tender processes, contract negotiations and service agreements
n
- Ensuring contractor compliance and overseeing contractor management processes
n
- Driving service delivery standards and operational excellence across the portfolio
n
- Leading minor refurbishments, capital replacement projects and facilities upgrades
n
- Working closely with operational stakeholders to ensure facilities support business objectives
n
- Supporting ESG initiatives and sustainability projects across the Group
n
- Acting as the key escalation point for facilities‐related issues and after‐hours reactive maintenance
n

About You
n
You are an experienced Facilities leader who thrives in a complex, multi‐site environment. You combine strong technical and commercial expertise with proven leadership capability and a passion for continuous improvement.
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Facilities Management role
n
- Trade qualification, Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable
n
- Experience managing multiple sites within hospitality, retail,
commercial property or similar environments
n
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, preventative maintenance and contractor management
n
- Demonstrated experience managing operational and capital budgets
n
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage service contracts and maintenance agreements
n
- Strong financial acumen with experience identifying and delivering cost‐saving initiatives
n
- Excellent leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills
n
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements, contractor compliance and risk management practices
n
- Strong problem‐solving, planning and organisational skills
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- RSA and RCG Competency Card, or willingness to obtain
n
