This opportunity is based at our Head Office in South Bank, Brisbane. As you'll be working from our Brisbane office, you'll need to be based locally.

What you'll be doing
n
As the Advanced Analytics Lead within the Revenue Management team, you'll play a key role in how the team uses data, advanced analytics and optimisation to drive commercial performance in an every-changing aviation landscape.
n
This is a hands‐on analytics leadership role. You'll lead a small team of Advanced Analytics Specialists and work across pricing, inventory, commercial performance and data teams to turn complex RM data into strategic recommendations, scalable insights and measurable revenue outcomes.
n
You'll help shape how we use predictive models, optimisation models, machine learning, large language models, AI and automation to improve the speed, quality and confidence of commercial decision‐making.
n
This role will suit someone who brings a consulting‐style mindset, strong analytical rigour and the ability to turn complexity into clarity for senior stakeholders.

- Lead advanced analytics initiatives across pricing optimisation, inventory optimisation and revenue growth
n
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear hypotheses,
analytical approaches and practical recommendations
n
- Turn complex data, models and analysis into business‐ready recommendations that support senior decision‐making
n
- Guide the development of predictive models, optimisation models and scalable analytical tools
n
- Help shape future RM capability, including practical use cases for machine learning, AI, large language models and automation
n
- Act as a trusted authority on Revenue Management data, including its structure, quality, limitations and commercial context
n
- Partner with Enterprise Data, Data Platform and Data Squad teams to support EDP migration and future data capability
n
- Coach a small team of Advanced Analytics Specialists, lifting the bar on analytical rigour, storytelling and commercial impact
n

You'll be great in this role if you have...
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in advanced analytics, data science, commercial analytics, optimisation or revenue management
n
- Strong SQL capability and confidence using Python or R to work with complex datasets.
n
- Experience leading or coaching analysts, data scientists or advanced analytics specialists.
n
- Experience applying predictive modelling, optimisation techniques, machine learning or experimentation to solve commercial problems
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across technical and non‐technical audiences
n
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
n
- Commercial judgement, curiosity and the confidence to challenge assumptions using evidence
n
- The ability to simplify complexity,
make practical trade‐offs and drive momentum in ambiguous environments
n
n
Experience in aviation, travel, pricing, inventory, revenue management, commercial strategy, Databricks, Power BI, EDP, AI, large language models, RAG, automation or transformation environments would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
