GKR Transport is looking for an experienced and reliable MR Driver to join our busy Redbank team.

This is a great opportunity for a confident local driver who enjoys variety, knows their way around general freight and is happy to roll up their sleeves when needed.

n

You'll be completing local pickups and deliveries across Brisbane, operating MR tautliner and open rigid trucks, and assisting in the yard when required. This is a hands on role in a small, hardworking team where everyone pitches in to get the job done.

n

If you have solid MR driving experience, understand load restraint and want a stable Monday to Friday role with plenty of hours available, we want to hear from you.

Pay Rate: $35.11 per hour

n

Flat rate up to 50 hours, then penalties apply

n

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am start to finish

About the role

n

You will be responsible for:

n

Operating tautliner and open rigid trucks

n

Completing local pickups and deliveries across Brisbane

n

Using gates, tarps, straps, chains, dogs and binders

n

Securing a variety of general freight, including awkward and unconventional loads

n

Completing pre start and end of day vehicle checks

n

Maintaining a strong focus on safety and presentation

n

Assisting in the yard when required

n

Working as part of a fast-paced,



high-volume transport team

n

About you

n

To be successful, you will need:

n

A manual MR licence as a minimum

n

At least 2 years' truck driving experience

n

Experience with general freight

n

Robust load restraint knowledge

n

Experience using tarps, straps, dogs, chains and binders

n

Knowledge of the Brisbane metropolitan area

n

A reliable, team first attitude

n

A willingness to assist in the yard when required

n

A forklift ticket is advantageous
