Underground Coal Operators – Bord & Pillar | $72/hr | 7/7

ABM Contractors is recruiting experienced underground coal operators for long-term bord and pillar work at Carborough.

n

If you have proven bord and pillar experience within an underground black coal mine and are looking for permanent employment, a consistent roster and competitive hourly rates, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE

- $72.00 per hour for all rostered 12-hour shifts
n
- Annual leave paid as though you are rostered at work
n
- Overtime rates for additional shifts and hours worked beyond 12 hours
n
- Superannuation paid on all rostered hours
n
- Permanent full-time employment with paid leave entitlements
n
- Accrued leave entitlements paid on cessation after 12 months' continuous service
n
- 7 days on, 7 days off roster, rotating between day and night shifts
n
- Camp accommodation and meals while rostered

- Bus transport between camp and the mine
n
- Weekly bus transport available from Mackay to camp
n
- Long-term work with an established underground coal contractor

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for experienced operators who demonstrate:

- Solid underground risk-management and safety behaviours
n
- Proven bord and pillar mining experience within an underground black coal mine
n
- A reliable, practical and productive approach to work
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of an underground crew
n
- Competency operating underground mining equipment relevant to the role
n

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

n

n
- Demonstrated bord and pillar experience within underground black coal mining
n
- Current Standard 11 – Underground and Surface
n
- Current underground coal competencies relevant to the position
n
- Current Coal Mine Workers' Health Scheme medical assessment or the ability to obtain one
n
- Ability to complete drug and alcohol screening within 14 days before induction
n
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
n

These are experienced positions and are not entry-level opportunities. Applicants must have previous underground black coal mining and bord and pillar experience.
