5 Axis CNC Machinist Responsibilities

n

You will be responsible for producing complex precision-engineered components while maintaining the highest quality standards.

n

Your duties will include:

n

n
- Programming, setting and operating 5-axis CNC machining centres
n
- Producing complex aerospace and precision-engineered components
n
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
n




- Selecting tooling and machine offsets
n
- First-off inspection and in-process quality checksUsing precision measuring equipment
n
- Maintaining micron-level tolerances
n
- Working within ISO-accredited quality systems
n
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Meeting production schedules without compromising quality
n

n

5 Axis CNC Machinist Skills & Experience

n

Applicants must have commercial experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machining centres.

n

- A recognised engineering or CNC machining qualification

- Significant post-qualification CNC machining experience

- The ability to satisfy Australian Trade Assessment requirements where applicable
n
- English language proficiency meeting Australian Government standards

- The ability to meet Australian health and character requirements
