Urban Design & Management is a leading multi-disciplined consultancy, offers excellence in Civil Engineering, Planning, Urban Design and Project Management located north west of Melbourne.

We currently have an opportunity available for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join our team based in the North West of Melbourne.

n

As a Senior Civil Design Engineer you will be an important addition to our existing civil design team where we work to deliver a variety of infrastructure projects.

n

Your key responsibilities will include:

n

- Design of roads, stormwater drainage infrastructure, water and sewerage reticulation.
n
- Preparing documentation for tender and construction phases.
n
- Attending meetings and briefings, communicate with agencies, authorities and clients where required.
n
- Work across a range of projects for both government and private sector clients from inception to completion.
n
- Drafting using AutoCAD.
n

Skills Required:

n
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
n
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel is desired.
n
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
n
- Victorian Drivers Licence.
n
- Strong work ethic and approach to learning.
n

Job Title: Senior Civil Design Engineer – Land Development

n

Are you an experienced Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your land development career? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with strong 12d expertise to join our growing civil engineering team.

n

About the Role

n

As a Senior Civil Design Engineer in our Land Development team,



you will be responsible for delivering high-quality civil design solutions across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will work collaboratively with project managers, drafters, and external stakeholders to deliver projects from concept through to construction.

n

Key Responsibilities

n
- Prepare civil designs for land development projects including roads, earthworks, stormwater drainage, sewer, and water reticulation
n
- Develop and review 12d models, drawings, and documentation
n
- Coordinate with surveyors, planners, architects, and local authorities
n
- Assist with design approvals and authority submissions
n
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and client requirements
n
- Support project delivery within agreed budgets and timelines
n
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development
n

About You

n
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
n
- Minimum 5 years' experience in land development/civil design
n
- Strong proficiency in 12d Model (12d) software
n
- Solid understanding of local design standards and authority requirements
n
- Experience delivering subdivision and infrastructure projects
n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
n
- RPEQ / CPEng (or working toward chartership)
n
- Water and sewer DAS accreditations
n
- Experience liaising directly with clients and councils
n
- Knowledge of construction processes and site experience
n
