Mitchell Services (MSV) is growing across our Surface and Underground Divisions and we're looking for motivated, safety-focused candidates ready to take the next step into a Trainee Underground Diamond Driller role with the look to move to a driller 1 level quickly.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates with previous drilling or offsider experience who are ready for more responsibility, hands-on learning, and career progression with one of Australia's leading drilling contractors.

- 14/14 or 14/7 roster options
n
- FIFO from Brisbane Airport or agreed major airport, or DIDO within an acceptable distance to our sites.
n
- Full time role with competitive pay & bonus opportunities. Initially offered as a maximum term contract, with the potential for extension subject to business needs.

About the Role

n

Working alongside experienced Underground or Surface Diamond Drillers, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting safe and productive drilling operations.

n

This is a development role designed to help you progress your career within drilling.

n

Key Responsibilities

n
- Conduct pre-start checks and maintain equipment standards
n
- Help minimise tooling damage and down-hole loss
n
- Accurately assist with core handling, markup and orientation
n
- Identify and report hazards, incidents and maintenance issues
n
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and teamwork
n

What We're Looking For

n
- Previous drilling, mining or offsider experience
n
- HR Licence (surface applicants) or Manual Open Driver's Licence (underground applicants)
n
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and National Police Clearance
n
- Physically fit with the ability to pass a functional assessment
n
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
