Job Description

IMC is a global trading firm providing liquidity across cryptocurrency exchanges and DeFi protocols. This role is a Crypto Trader based in Sydney, providing APAC-hours coverage for the team in Zug while managing live trading activities including token market making, DeFi, and CeFi delta-one strategies.

What You'll Do

- Monitor live trading strategies, positions, exposures, and PnL during APAC business hours
n
- Manage strategy configurations, trading parameters, limits, and operational controls
n
- Investigate urgent trading issues, unexpected strategy behaviour, and unusual PnL movements
n
- Use Python and internal tools to analyse trades, execution quality, and strategy performance
n
- Support rollout and scaling of strategies across new tokens, venues, and protocols
n
- Provide handovers between Sydney and Zug teams and communicate with external parties
n

What You Need

n

n
- Quantitative or technical background in Mathematics,



Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis and trade investigations
n
- Good judgement and attention to detail when working with live trading systems
n
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions during time-sensitive incidents
n
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
n

Nice to Have

n

- Experience in electronic trading, market making, trading operations, or risk management
n
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets, including spot, perpetual futures, funding, and hedging
n
- Exposure to DeFi protocols or automated trading systems
n
- Familiarity with SQL, Linux, logs, and monitoring tools
