With a loyal and diverse client base spanning Cairns and Far North Queensland, and consistent year-on-year growth in billings, they're now looking for a Senior Accountant who's ready to hit the ground running and make their mark in a market full of opportunity.

THE ROLE:

A compelling opportunity for an experienced accountant ready to take genuine ownership of a well-established client portfolio and make a real impact within a thriving regional practice. You'll be the trusted advisor your clients rely on, a technical anchor for junior team members, and a meaningful contributor to the firm's continued growth and success.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Managing and developing a broad client portfolio spanning a variety of industries and entity structures
n
- Reviewing and preparing financial statements and income tax returns across all entity types
n
- Delivering strategic tax planning and business advisory services tailored to each client's unique circumstances and goals
n
- Handling complex tax matters including Div 7A, CGT and FBT calculations with confidence
n
- Cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a reliable and knowledgeable point of contact
n
- Identifying advisory opportunities and actively contributing to firm growth through referrals and cross-service engagement

ABOUT YOU:

n

n
- You will have at least 3+ years' experience within an Australian public practice firm, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for client service and team collaboration
n
- A confident, polished communicator across email, phone and face-to-face
n
- Solid technical grounding across business services and taxation
n
- CA/CPA qualified or in the final stages of completion
n
- Self-motivated, commercially minded and genuinely invested in the next chapter of your career
n
- Experience with Xero will be highly regarded
n
