Facilities Manager – Landmark Sports, Aquatic & Community Precinct

n

Paddington, Sydney | Full-time, Permanent | $160,000-$200,000 package

n

This isn't a standard Facilities Manager role. You won't just inherit a building - you'll help shape it before it opens, then take full ownership once it's operational.

n

Our client is redeveloping an iconic multi-sport and community precinct in Paddington, with practical completion targeted for April 2027. You'll join during the final stages of construction, working alongside the project team to learn the site inside out, set up contracts and systems your way, and lead a smooth transition into operations. Full details on the organisation will be shared with shortlisted candidates.

n

The Site

n

A large-scale sporting and community precinct including:

n

n
- An outdoor heated lap pool and Learn to Swim school
n
- Two full-size, partially enclosed basketball courts
n
- A natural turf playing field
n
- Gymnasium, café, bar, dining and function spaces
n
- Commercial office tenancies and community facilities
n

n

You'll be managing a complex, high-profile, multi-asset site - not a single building.

n

The Role

n

Initially:

n

n
- Manage contractors through final build stages, defects and the liability period
n
- Set up service contracts, suppliers and preventative maintenance systems
n

- Support commissioning and handover, including pool plant and specialist systems
n

n

Then:

n

n
- Take full ownership of facilities operations across the precinct
n
- Manage all contractors, compliance (WHS, BCA, NSW Health pool standards) and maintenance
n
- Lead a small team and drive ongoing performance and improvement of the site
n

n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- 5+ years' facilities management experience across complex, multi-use sites - ideally sport, leisure, aquatic or hospitality
n
- Comfortable working in a live project/build environment
n
- Aquatic facility experience (pool plant, water chemistry, NSW Health compliance) highly regarded
n
- Solid contractor and stakeholder management, with a track record building systems from scratch
n
- Current NSW Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
n

n

Please Note Our client undertakes a security screening process for this role, including background and reference checks, prior to appointment. We ask that candidates are comfortable with this process before applying - this will be discussed in more detail during screening.

n

What's on Offer

n

n
- $180,000-$200,000 total package
n
- High-profile, landmark development in the heart of Paddington
n
- Long-term ownership of a flagship community site
n
- Autonomy to shape how the facility is run, backed by senior leadership
