We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team at our exciting Underwood location to

n

support the management of daily operations within our growing family-run business.

n

Position: Assistant Store Manager/2IC

n

Role: Full time position (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

n

Objectives of this role

n

Assist the store manager with the management of daily warehouse operations.

n

Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse staff and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.

n

Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.

n

Support business growth by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients through engagement and execution of effective sales strategies.

n

Maintain a safe, healthy and positive work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

n

Delivering customer service to clients in-store, over the phone, and on-site as needed.

n

Preparing trade and retail orders in a timely and accurate manner.

n

Handling the receipt and dispatch of goods, including the loading and unloading of trucks and shipping containers.

n

Reconciling incoming and outgoing stock by cross-checking with requisitions and updating inventory and stock location records in the POS system.

n





Inspecting incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accurate fulfillment.

n

Creating samples and swatches for display and distribution.

n

Calculating end-of-day balances, optimizing loss prevention measures, and overseeing monthly stock control.

n

Assisting the senior management team in meeting budgets and business goals.

n

Regularly reporting to senior management, providing progress updates, analysing productivity, developing actionable plans for loss prevention, and addressing any issues promptly.

n

Writing, creating, editing, and publishing engaging content for social media as required.

n

Capturing pictures and videos of ongoing and completed projects.

n

Perform daily store opening and closing procedures when required.

Expertise in tinting and mixing paint & colour.

Physical fitness to perform manual warehouse tasks.

n

Comfortable in handling confidential information.

Requirements for this role:

n

Driver's license is required.

n

Forklift ticket is preferred, must be willing to obtain if not currently held.

n

Experience in management or team leadership is preferred.

n

Previous sales representative or warehouse experience is preferred.

n

The successful applicant will be offered a remuneration package in line with their professional experience.
