Who are we?

Care For Your Mind is a private practice with an integrative and evidence-based approach to client care with our main office located in Bendigo and outreach office based in Castlemaine.
n
We provide counselling and psychotherapy and psychological assessments to adults, children, young people & their families. We offer individual, couple and family counselling.
n
We have a diverse client base with a range of presentations.
n
Therapists tend to see 4-6 clients per day with breaks allocated in between or in larger blocksdependent on how you work best.
n
We value quality therapeutic practice over the quantity of client hours you do, therefore there is opportunity to practice your own self-care between sessions and with other clinicians in the clinic.
n
We highly value who the occupational therapist is as a person and how this benefits client outcomes through values such as authenticity and integrity in the work you do.

We offer a range of appointment times depending on what works for you and your schedule.

Who are we looking for?
n
You're a calming presence with a passion about putting the "humanness" back into mental health care. You're looking to either start out in your career as a new graduate or you're an esteemed occupational therapist looking for a practice that is trauma-informed, progressive, vibrant and growing!
n
You have/are:
n
n
- Relevant Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy
n
- Current general or provisional registration with AHPRA
n
- Experience in working with children, young people, families and adults
n
- Experience in comprehensive, evidence-based assessments of sensory processing, motor skills, adaptive behaviour, and functional capacity
n
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary assessment for autism and neurodevelopmental diagnostic evaluations
n
- Produce high-quality, timely clinical assessment reports aligned with diagnostic standards and NDIS requirements
n
- Conduct caregiver interviews, developmental histories, and functional questionnaires
n
- Develop individualised, strengths-based recommendations and sensory/functional intervention plans
n
- Work closely with our team of therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated care
n
- Participate in team meetings, peer supervision, and multidisciplinary report formulation
n
- Contribute to development of standardised assessment protocols and clinical pathways within the practice
n
- Ensure all records meet quality and privacy standards
n
- Relevant professional indemnity insurance
n
- Current working with children and police check
n
- Highly emotionally intelligent, compassionate and have an enthusiasm for supporting people
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- The ability to work autonomously
n
- Ability to provide services under Medicare(not essential)
n
- A commitment to career development and adherence to professional supervision requirements as stipulated by the OT Board of Australia standards
