Job Description
Do you have a strong mechanical or electrical background, combined with experience leading multi-trade teams? Join our Confluence Maintenance team as a Site Works Supervisor and play a key role in maintaining Sydney Water's critical wastewater infrastructure.
n
In this role, you will lead a team of 15 skilled tradespeople, including mechanical fitters, electricians, and a plumber, to deliver day-to-day mechanical, electrical, and plumbing maintenance, as well as minor project works, at Sydney Water's Manly Wastewater Treatment Plant in North Head.
n
Working closely with Sydney Water, you'll ensure all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, helping maximise the reliability and performance of this critical facility. This is a permanent, full-time, site-based position, with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
n
Plan, prioritise, and oversee maintenance schedules, troubleshooting, repairs, and daily work activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
n
Lead, coach, and develop the site maintenance team, fostering a safe, productive, collaborative,
and high-performing workforce.
n
Provide on-site leadership and technical guidance, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards using compliant materials, tools, and equipment.
n
Collaborate with Sydney Water, contractors, and internal stakeholders including operations, planning, engineering, project management, quality, workplace, and safety teams to support effective maintenance delivery.
n
Manage and resolve operational issues, escalating complex matters where required and meeting all reporting obligations.
n
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, customer outcomes, and operational performance.
n
About You
n
You have a mechanical or electrical trade qualification or an engineering background, ideally with experience in the water and wastewater industry.
n
You hold a current and valid Class C driver's licence.
n
You have demonstrated strong supervisory experience, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and drive the performance of medium-sized, multi-trade teams.
n
You are highly resilient, with a natural ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing demands, and remain effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
n
Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
n
You're eager to progress your career within the essential services sector, particularly in water and wastewater management.
