About the role

n

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Social Worker to provide specialist forensic mental health services within the Erskine Forensic Mental Health Service at Ravenhall Correctional Centre.

n

In this role, you will:

n

n
- Deliver high-quality social work assessments, interventions and care planning.
n
- Complete comprehensive psychosocial, family, risk and needs assessments.
n
- Advocate for consumers' rights, entitlements and recovery goals.
n
- Provide specialist advice and consultation to multidisciplinary team members.
n
- Support family-inclusive and recovery-oriented practice.
n
- Contribute to service improvement, quality initiatives and research activities.
n
- Assist with the supervision and support of students and early-career social workers where appropriate.

- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support positive consumer outcomes.
n

What you'll bring

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- A degree in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
n
- Demonstrated commitment to mental health recovery principles.
n
- Experience delivering ethical and effective social work services within complex or statutory environments.
n
- Strong psychosocial assessment and complex case planning skills.
n
- Understanding of risk, recovery and trauma-informed practice.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
n
