Permanent Experienced Medical Receptionist required for busy General Practice

Tandem Health is a family-owned General Practice in Labrador. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Senior Medical Receptionist for 4 shifts (minimum 30 hours) per week. Must be able to do open (7:30am) and/or close shift (5:30pm). No weekends or public holidays.

The role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

- Welcoming patients and visitors
n
- Handling phone inquiries and messages
n
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
n
- Keeping the reception and waiting areas tidy
n
- Managing Medicare billings and payments
n
- Performing faxing, filing, and mailing tasks
n
- Upholding confidentiality of all patient information
n
- Ensuring operations adhere to established policies and procedures
n

The successful candidate will:

- Exhibit a friendly,



enthusiastic demeanor, prioritising patient care as the first point of contact for the medical center
n
- Prior experience in a General Practice setting is desired
n
- Demonstrate robust organisational skills and reliability
n
- Pay meticulous attention to detail
n
- Collaborate effectively within a team to maintain smooth operations
n
- Possess their own reliable transportation
n
- Preferably have experience with Best Practice Software
n
- Preferably have knowledge of Tyro
n
- Preferably have knowledge of Medicare MBS and Workcover
n
- Complete any required training as mandated by the employer
n
