Looking for a job that's literally cool? We're seeking a reliable and energetic Duty Manager to help lead shifts at our busy Ice Arena. This is a hands‐on role where no two shifts are the same. One minute you might be helping a birthday party, the next you're supervising staff, managing a busy public session, or driving the ice resurfacer (Zamboni) to keep the ice in top condition. If you're someone who enjoys staying busy, leading a team, and delivering great customer experiences — this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and lead a team of junior staff during busy sessions
n
- Deliver excellent customer service to skaters, families and hockey players
n
- Assist with the daily operation of the venue
n
- Learn to operate the ice resurfacer (Zamboni)
n
- Ensure the venue remains clean, protected and well presented
n
- Support events, birthday parties and public skating sessions
n
- Manage incidents and ensure safety procedures are followed
n




- Jump in wherever needed to keep the venue running smoothly
n

About You

- Strong leadership and communication skills
n
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and enjoys understanding how things work
n
- Hands‐on and proactive — you don't wait to be told what needs doing
n
- Customer‐first attitude
n
- Can confidently manage young staff and busy environments
n
- Comfortable working in cold conditions
n
- Can remain calm, organised and friendly under pressure
n
- Good sense of humour and team spirit
n
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Current Driver's Licence with an excellent driving record
n
- Availability to work weekends and some evenings
n
- Ability to work on your feet and stay active during shifts
n
