Due to increased activity within the exploration and geology department, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Core Yard Technician to support site-based geological programs on an initial 2-month contract.

n

Your new role As a Core Yard Technician, you will play a key role in supporting geological and exploration activities on site.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Receiving, handling, and organising drill core samples
n
- Core tray preparation, labelling, and storage
n
- Cutting and sampling drill core in accordance with site procedures
n
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient core yard
n
- Assisting geologists with sample dispatch and data collection
n
- Operating core saws and other core yard equipment
n
- Conducting manual handling and lifting of core trays
n




- Supporting daily geology and exploration activities as required
n

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
- Previous experience working in a core yard, exploration, or mining environment
n
- Experience handling and processing drill core
n
- Strong commitment to safety and site procedures
n
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Forklift ticket (desirable)
n
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
n
- FIFO experience highly regarded
n
