About the Role
n Are you a hands-on safety professional looking to drive a proactive, safety-first culture?
n Sekisui House Australia is seeking an energetic WHS Advisor in a 4-month fixed term contract to coordinate the day-to-ground operational aspects of our safety management framework. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for WHS&E;, coaching our teams and principal contractors to understand and meet their safety obligations. Reporting directly to the HR Manager and embedded within a supportive Human Resources Team, you will balance compliance monitoring and investigations with real, on-the-ground support to promote a zero-harm environment across our construction sites and property projects.
n Key Responsibilities
n As our WHS Advisor, your day-to-day focus will centre on building safety capability and maintaining strict compliance:
n

- Safety Compliance & Systems: Partner with the HR Manager to maintain and ensure the compliance of the SHA WHS&E; Management System.
n
- Coaching & Culture: Act as the first point of contact for WHS&E;, driving a zero-harm safety culture through collaborative teamwork.
n
- Audits & Risk Management: Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits, providing actionable continuous improvement recommendations.
n
- Incident Investigations: Lead thorough workplace incident investigations,
preparing comprehensive reports and performance updates for the HR Manager.
n
- Return to Work: Act as the Return-to-Work Coordinator, managing workers' compensation, rehabilitation, and administrative requirements.
n
- Systems Administration: Maintain the WHS Learning Management System (LMS) and contractor management system (Cm3).
n
- Reporting & Projects: Monitor monthly safety and environmental performance data and collaborate with the HR team to deliver key WHS projects.

What You Bring (Selection Criteria) To be successful in this hands‐on, highly team-oriented position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
n
n
- Qualifications: Certificate IV in WHS (or higher) is essential.
n
- Industry Experience: Proven safety experience specifically within the construction or property industry.
n
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of relevant WHS Acts, Regulations, Compliance Codes, Codes of Practice, and Australian Standards.
n
- Technical Skills: Strong capability in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and managing WHS&E; Management systems.
n
- Tools: High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite packages.
n
- Licence: A current, valid Driver Licence is required for site travel.
n
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a proactive, positive work ethic and a love for teamwork
