Job Description

Our client is seeking a junior Employment Lawyer to join its growing Employment practice in Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside market-leading employment law specialists, gain exposure to high-quality matters, and become part of a collaborative team during an exciting period of growth.

The role will suit a lawyer with at least 12 months' legal experience, ideally 1–3 years' post-admission experience, together with a strong interest in employment law and valuable academic results.

Experience gained in private practice, in-house, or as an Associate at the Commission will all be considered.

n

This is a broad and varied employment law role offering exposure to both advisory and litigation work across a diverse client base.

n

You will work with global, multinational and local clients on a wide range of matters, including:

n

- workforce conduct issues,



internal investigations and implementation of recommendations;
n
- compliance with local laws and regulations, including liaising with correspondent firms across the region;
n
- start-up employment infrastructure, corporate governance and senior executive incentive schemes;
n
- large-scale restructuring exercises, employee communications and drafting related documentation;
n
- recruitment, sponsorship, remuneration and benefits, grievances, disciplinary matters and terminations;
n
- employment issues arising from transactions, including due diligence, drafting warranties and indemnities, and employee transfers;
n
- drafting and amending contracts, handbooks, policies and procedures; and
n
- complex employment disputes, settlement negotiations and settlement agreements;
