We are seeking aData Scientistfor ahybrid, Brisbane-basedrole supporting the development of scalable data foundations that enable advanced AI solutions within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) sector.
This is a hands-on role combining data engineering, analytics, and applied data science. You will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver clean, reliable, and production-ready data assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines
- Transform raw data into clean, usable datasets
- Analyse data and deliver actionable insights
- Define and apply data science standards and best practices
- Own and continuously improve core data assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes efficiently
- Communicate progress, risks, and insights clearly
- Apply strong data governance, ethics, and responsibility principles
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data science
- Robust experience working with large, complex datasets
- Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical analysis
- Experience withPyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong Python skills and experience with Azure services
- Proven ability to translate data insights into business outcomes
Highly regarded
- Experience with 3D geometry
- Familiarity with IFC / IfcOpenShell
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
