Your new company This leading not-for-profit organisation that leads the way in their industry and offers a range of services across the East Coast of Australia is seeking a talented Payroll Manager to join their large payroll team. This attractive full-time permanent position will play a key role in the ongoing success of this-based organisation that is currently undergoing a transformation of their payroll department. The position will be based in their Brisbane inner city offices, which are located close to various public transport connections and in office car parking is also available.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will play a key role within the department and be responsible for the following:

- Supervise and coach the payroll team to ensure payrolls are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations)
- Prepare and oversee payroll reporting and payroll reconciliations
- Ensure that the group complies with relevant regulatory, tax and compliance
- Recruitment of new payroll team members and team development
- Deliver and support the organisation with best practice and process improvement across the payroll department
- Driving changes across the team,



including system upgrades
- Communicating with various internal stakeholders regarding payroll processes, queries, and best practice
- Recruitment of current payroll team members and team development

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:

- Demonstrated experience leading a payroll team in a medium to large pay environment
- Current knowledge of payroll legislation
- Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
- Ability to work in a high-volume and changing environment
- Strong focus on employee engagement and development
- Excellent rapport and communication skills to engage with senior leaders and stakeholders within the organisation
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
