Your New Role
n
As the Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our Colbinabbin site, ensuring production, maintenance and logistics activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front, supporting your team and contributing to the day-to‐day operation of the site.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Leading the day-to‐day logistics and maintenance operations, including overseeing preventative maintenance programs and providing hands‐on support with troubleshooting and equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
n
Collaborating closely with the Production Manager to achieve customer expectations and business objectives by monitoring product quality, plant performance and operational efficiency.
n
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability, efficiency and productivity.
n
Managing raw material inventory and stock control to support production requirements.
n
Leading, mentoring and developing your team through effective inductions, training and ongoing skills development.
n
Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards and legislative requirements.
n
Working with the management team to review and improve systems, procedures and processes to support operational excellence and ongoing compliance.
n
Preparing reports for the management team and contributing to regular management meetings.

About You
n
To be successful in this role you will have:

Proven experience leading and developing teams, fostering a positive workplace culture and leading by example.
n
A positive "can-do" attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan and coordinate site activities.
n
An eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
n
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the grain handling or feed milling industry, with sound knowledge of production and mill operations.
n
Hands‐on maintenance experience, including troubleshooting, fault finding and responding effectively to equipment breakdowns.
n
Experience coordinating production, logistics and raw material inventory.
n
Competent computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and business systems.
n
A current Driver's Licence.
n
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
n
Boiler Attendant's Ticket.
n
Experience using ProBatch or similar production management software.
n
