We're looking for a Staff Engineer (Frontend) to help drive technical direction, own critical front‐end systems, and partner with product and design to deliver high‐quality, scalable experiences.

n

You will set the bar for engineering excellence, lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers across squads, and champion world‐class usability, performance, and reliability across our front‐end stack.

This is a hands‐on, high‐impact leadership role — shaping our front‐end platform, accelerating developer experience, and guiding our vision for contemporary, AI‐powered product interfaces.

What you will do

Technical Leadership & Execution

n

n
- Lead architecture and delivery of complex, high‐impact front‐end initiatives and shared UI systems
n
- Design and evolve scalable, modular front‐end architectures and codebases across multiple product surfaces
n
- Own core front‐end infrastructure, micro‐frontend patterns, and shared component libraries
n
- Build high‐performing, secure, accessible, and responsive interfaces with exceptional UX quality
n
- Ensure high coverage with automated testing, type‐safe systems, and robust release pipelines
n
- Drive front‐end platform improvements including tooling, performance, observability, and CI/CD workflows
n
- Establish coding standards, documentation practices, and front‐end governance models.
n
- Champion fast, reliable, AI‐assisted developer workflows and efficient local dev environments
n

Cross‐Functional Influence

n

- Collaborate deeply with Product, Design, and Engineering leads to define the front‐end roadmap
n
- Lead technical discovery, RFCs, architectural reviews, and cross‐team platform initiatives
n
- Drive accessibility,



internationalisation, performance, and usability best practices
n
- Provide mentorship and technical coaching to engineers across squads
n
- Champion engineering quality, customer empathy, and continuous improvement
n
- Lead by example — solving hard problems, unblocking teams, and elevating engineering standards
n

What you'll need?

n

n
- 10-12 years of overall product development experience only
n
- 7+ years of hands‐on experience building and maintaining large‐scale SaaS front ends using React, Typescript, and modern web technologies. Familiarity with Remix, Next.js, Storybook, and design systems is a bonus
n
- You bring knowledge of web application architecture, performance optimisation, accessibility, and user‐centric design. You're comfortable "owning" the quality and standard of solutions delivered
n
- Experience in POS, payments, or mission‐critical SaaS products
n
- You've contributed to shaping internal engineering practices or frameworks, led significant technical initiatives, and coached peers or juniors to higher quality and autonomy
n
- Strong experience with CI/CD, automated testing, telemetry, and production monitoring of front‐end systems
n
- Strong product mindset — balancing shipping velocity with long‐term quality and maintainability
n
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing cross‐team technical direction
n
