The Role

n

This is a senior, technically focused Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) accounting position where you will take ownership of complex work, undertake some high level processing, drive quality outcomes, and be recognised as a subject matter expert.

n

You will work closely with senior leadership, contribute to technical direction, and play a key role in maintaining the firm's high standard of SMSF compliance and advisory.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Take ownership and manage a portfolio of SMSF clients, including processing within complex funds and assisting with strategy recommendations

n

Prepare and review SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and compliance documentation

n

Lead technical interpretation of SIS and taxation legislation

n

Liaise directly with auditors, clients, solicitors, financial planners and regulators, confidently handling complex matters

n

Review work and provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members

n

Drive quality, accuracy, and efficiency across SMSF processes

n

Contribute to improving systems, workflows, and best practice standards

n

What You Bring (Non-Negotiables)

n





Genuine desire to deliver quality client outcomes and maintain exceptional client relationships

n

Minimum 5+ years' SMSF experience in public practice

n

Proven ability to manage and review complex SMSF engagements

n

Deep understanding of superannuation legislation and compliance frameworks

n

CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)

n

Excellent time management skills as well as high-level attention to detail and technical accuracy

n

Proven record of ability to adapt to technology and current software

n

Confident communicator who can explain complex matters clearly

n

Highly Regarded

n

Tax experience across individuals, trusts, and companies

n

Exposure to advisory or higher-level client interactions

n
