Full Time or Part Time | Base Bonnyrigg | $85,000 – $120,000 + Super + $10,000+ in Bonuses + Company Car Provided + Travel Reimbursement

Grow Your Occupational Therapy Career with Genuine Support
n
Safe Steps Therapy is a multidisciplinary allied health practice based in Bonnyrigg, delivering Behaviour Support, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Psychology across Western Sydney. As we grow, we're building a team of clinicians who want real clinical variety, hands-on mentoring, and a genuine say in how the practice develops, not just a seat in an established structure.
n
About the Role
n
This role combines the stability of a clinic base with the variety of mobile, community-based practice. You'll work across our Bonnyrigg clinic, clients' homes, schools and early learning centres, with a caseload spanning paediatric and adult presentations funded through NDIS and private referrals. Full-time or part-time available, with flexibility to structure your week around your availability.
n
Why Join Safe Steps Therapy:
n
A defined pathway toward Team Leader and senior clinical roles as the organisation grows, not a vague promise. You'll help shape what that pathway looks like as one of our early clinicians.
n
Structured clinical supervision from an experienced team, not a signature on a form. Support is built around your development, whatever stage of your career you're at.
n
Collaborative Multidisciplinary Team
n
Work alongside Speech Pathologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, Physiotherapists and Psychologists on shared clients, with real case collaboration rather than disciplines working in silos.
n
Diverse Clinical Caseload
n
Sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self-care and daily living skills, equipment prescription, and both paediatric and adult presentations, across clinic,
home, school and community settings.
n
Meaningful Work, Direct Impact
n
As a smaller, growing practice, your clinical input and ideas directly shape how services are delivered, not filtered through layers of management.
n
What's On Offer
n
n
- Base salary $85,000 – $120,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunities with potential to earn $10,000+
n
- Fully maintained company car provided, yours to use for work and personal life, with no restrictions
n
- $2,000 external professional development budget, plus internal PD and training
n
- Structured mentoring and supervision from an experienced multidisciplinary team
n
- Flexible working arrangements
n
- Admin support to reduce your non-clinical workload
n
- 6-month probationary period with the opportunity to negotiate salary on successful completion
n
n
The Role
n
n
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments across paediatric and adult clients, including functional, sensory and home/environment assessments
n
- Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based treatment plans
n
- Provide therapy across in-clinic, home, school and early learning centre settings
n
- Collaborate closely with our Speech Pathology, Behaviour Support, Physio and Psychology teams on shared clients
n
- Deliver parent coaching, capacity-building sessions, and educator or support worker training
n
- Prescribe and recommend equipment and home/environment modifications as required
n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including NDIS reporting
n
n
Caseload May Include
n
Sensory processing difficulties, fine and gross motor delays,
self-care and daily living skill development, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Progressive Disease, Acquired Neurological Conditions, and equipment and home modification assessment and prescription.
n
About You
n
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and wants to grow within a practice that's still being shaped.
n
You will have:
n
n
- Degree in Occupational Therapy, with current or eligible registration with AHPRA
n
- Confidence managing a paediatric and adult caseload, with support as needed (early-career clinicians welcome if highly motivated; experienced clinicians encouraged to apply)
n
- Comfort working across clinic, home, school and community settings
n
- Strong communication, time management and clinical documentation skills
n
- Commitment to evidence-based, family-centred practice and a genuine interest in ongoing learning
n
n
Requirements
n
n
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, essential for the mobile component of this role
n
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
n
Why Now Is the Right Time to Join
n
Safe Steps Therapy is growing, and this role isn't a fixed slot in an existing structure, it's a genuine opportunity to help build our Occupational Therapy service from the ground up alongside an established multidisciplinary team.
n
Additional language skills, particularly community languages spoken across Western Sydney, are highly regarded.
n
Protected Steps Therapy welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences, and is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.
