Solo Resource Recovery is a family owned and operated business, supplying waste removal and recycling services throughout Australia. An opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Officer to join our team.

This full time position (40 hrs), working in a team of four staff, is based at our Head Office in Chinderah, Northern NSW and is available for an immediate start.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Preparation and processing of several weekly payruns, covering 850+ employees, in 4 states and over various industries;
n
- Processing employee personnel maintenance;
n
- Liaising with branch staff and management, and assisting with queries;
n
- Undertake end of month/end of year payroll processing;
n
- Payroll reporting as required;
n
- other general payroll duties as required.

To be successful in this role you must possess:

n

n
- An understanding of awards, superannuation and taxation;
n
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (experience with pivot tables and v-lookups would be an advantage);
n
- High level of proficiency with other software applications, including Word;
n
- A friendly, team focused attitude;
n
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
n
- Ability to work to tight deadlines;
n
- Ability to problem solve;
n
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
n
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
n

Experience in the Definitiv payroll programme would be an advantage, although is not essential.

n
