Job Description

Canex has an opportunity for 10 x Hospitality workers to work across several establishments in Townsville and surrounding regions. The roles can vary and you could be tasked with cleaning, cafe work, waiting, laundry, housekeeping, food preparation & dishwashing or general maintenance of the site.

For these exciting roles you must have a good level of physical fitness, as you are often on your feet and active for the majority of your shift.

Requirements

- Some experience in hospitality roles
n
- Waiting experience
n
- Ready and able to work long shifts (11 hours+ a day)
n
- Be flexible in your approach to work
n
- A great attitude with your work
n
- Be neat in tidy
n
- Be able to work alone or part of a team
n

You will be required to work on average 30 hours per week.

n

The term of work will be from August 2026 to May 2027.

n

You will be paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009].

n

Pay & Working Hours

n

n




- The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Level 1 - 4 $33.05/hr up to $36+/hr
n
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 1am, 7 days per week.
n
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
n
- Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
