Jardini Pty Ltd is a commercial fishing business based in Wynnum, Brisbane, specialising in the

collection of live aquarium fish and live coral for domestic and international supply. We are seeking

n

an experienced commercial diver to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.

n

Duties

n

n
- Swim underwater to locate, identify and hand-collect live aquarium fish and live coral species
n
- Operate safely under commercial diving conditions in ocean environments, including variable weather and current conditions
n
- Use appropriate collection techniques to minimise damage to marine life and reef
n
- Maintain and check diving equipment, air supply, and safety gear prior to and following each dive
n
- Work as part of a small vessel-based team, including surface support and vessel duties as required
n
- Sort,



handle and prepare collected specimens for holding and transport in line with animal welfare and biosecurity requirements
n
- Maintain accurate dive logs and catch records
n
- Comply with all workplace health and safety, fisheries, and environmental regulatory requirements
n

Requirements

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' recent experience in commercial or collection diving (or equivalent trade qualification)
n
- Current dive certification (commercial diving ticket or equivalent recognised qualification)
n
- Current first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Robust swimming ability and physical fitness for sustained underwater work
n
- Ability to work variable hours based on weather and tide conditions
n
