Our client is an industry leader in the manufacture of food-grade thermoformed packaging, supplying high-quality packaging solutions to major food manufacturers across Australia.

n

Based in Derrimut, this opportunity offers stable, secure employment for an initial 3-4 month assignment, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Operate thermoforming machinery to produce food-grade plastic packaging to production and quality specifications.
n
- Set up, start, monitor and adjust thermoforming equipment to ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.
n
- Complete mould/tool changes, product changeovers and machine set‐ups safely and efficiently.
n
- Monitor heating, forming, trimming and stacking processes, making adjustments as required.
n
- Identify and respond to machine faults, process variations and quality issues to minimise downtime and waste.
n
- Perform routine quality inspections, including visual and dimensional checks in line with GMP and HACCP standards.
n
- Complete production documentation, quality records and shift handovers accurately.
n
- Carry out basic preventative maintenance, machine cleaning and housekeeping.

- Maintain a safe, clean workplace while adhering to GMP, HACCP and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance and production teams to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
n
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality and operational performance.
n

About You

n

n
- Previous experience operating thermoforming machinery is highly regarded.
n
- Experience within food, plastics, packaging or FMCG manufacturing environments.
n
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production issues.
n
- Understanding of GMP, HACCP and quality systems.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and producing quality products.
n
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team.
n
