Line / Machine Setter - Night Shift - $47.44 per hour

Role: Machine Setter / Line Setter (Line Set up and Machine Operator) (Must be mechanically minded)

n

Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (has proven to provide job security in a pandemic)

Location: South Eastern Suburbs

n

Shift: Night Shift Only (11pm to 7am, Sunday night start)

n

Employment Conditions: Permanent - Full Time

Experience: At least two years' experience in Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Food, Beverage, Chemical, Packaging or other FMCG industry is desirable but not essential; other industries such as mechanical, aeronautical or defence will be well-regarded. Experience with setting up (and adjusting for changeovers) and / or cleaning of packaging machinery on a production line a must

- Bottle Loaders
n
- Bottle/Tube Fillers
n
- Cappers
n
- Labellers
n

Day to Day responsibilities:

n
- Ensure that the line runs efficiently and productively; coordinate tasks so that the line runs as continuously as possible
n
- Complete changeover of production equipment such as Filling, Capping & Labelling with accuracy and in a set time period
n
- Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during the run to achieve optimum output and minimal downtime minimise wastage
n




- Set up filling and packing equipment and strip down, wash and reassemble filling equipment to produce a quality product as efficiently as possible
n
- Monitor the quality of product throughout the filling run and make appropriate adjustments to maintain quality and compliance
n
- Be able to operate and maintain equipment safely and change parts in a clean and orderly manner
n
- Ensure that all work is done according to the highest standards of Valuable Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
n
- Carry out required tasks in ERP and other systems; complete all relevant documentation and reporting
n
- Participate in required training, including SOPs, GMP, OH&S; & 5S
n
- Written and oral communication skills
n
- High mechanical aptitude
n
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
n
- Advanced GMP and a sound understanding of OHS
n
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
n
- Proven machine operating experience in either food manufacturing or pharmaceutical
n
- Experience is advantageous in a similar role, a mechanical engineering degree or experience is a must. Forklift licence advantageous.
n
- Must have own car and licence and live in close proximity to the south-eastern suburbs.
n
