We're looking for a talented Mechatronics Engineer to join our Research and Development team and help bring the next generation of smart products to life.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in designing and developing embedded electronic systems that power our innovative product range.
n
Working alongside Mechanical, Software and Electrical Engineers, you'll contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to testing, validation and commercial release.
n
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work on real products, solve complex technical challenges and help deliver innovative solutions that improve customer outcomes.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Design embedded electronic systems including low voltage circuitry, custom wiring looms, embedded firmware and hardware integration to support the development of innovative new products.
n
- Develop production ready PCB designs using Altium (or similar PCB design software),
selecting components, creating schematics, validating designs and supporting prototype development through to manufacture.
n
- Build and validate intelligent systems by developing embedded software, communication protocols and automated testing while ensuring products meet performance, reliability and compliance requirements.
n
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Product Management to integrate electrical, software and mechanical systems into commercially successful products.
n
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by researching emerging technologies, supporting product improvements, developing technical documentation and contributing to the future direction of BreatheSafe's product portfolio.

About You
n
You'll be passionate about electronics, embedded systems and product development, with a genuine interest in turning creative ideas into reliable commercial products.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
n
- Experience designing embedded electronic systems and developing products from concept through to manufacture.
n
- Strong PCB design experience using Altium Designer or similar software.
n
- Experience with embedded firmware development and microcontrollers.
n
- Knowledge of circuit design, PCB manufacturing processes and electrical component selection.
n
- Experience with product testing, validation and troubleshooting.
n
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
n
