Recruitment Consultant - Senior Accounting & Finance

Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturer with over 60 years of history, supplying industrial products across multiple sites in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales. With a close-knit finance and HR team and a genuine commitment to their people, they offer a stable and rewarding environment for a payroll qualified looking to take ownership of a critical standalone function.

The Role

n

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

n

n
- End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for 160 - 200employees across multiple states, including shift workers, timesheet-based staff and salaried employees
n
- Ensure payroll compliance with Australian legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, superannuation, taxation and leave entitlements
n
- Conduct ad hoc payroll audits to verify wages, superannuation, leave entitlements and deductions
n
- Respond to employee and manager payroll queries; maintain strong working relationships across HR, Finance and operational teams
n




- Assist with the preparation of BAS, FBT, PTS and other compliance work
n
- Support the transition to a new payroll system, including data validation, testing, process mapping and post-go-live issue resolution
n
- Maintain robust payroll records and ensure data integrity across all payroll systems
n
- Assistance with other ad hoc accounting duties if/when required

The Person

n

n
- Considerable end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial or multi-site environment
n
- Prior involvement in a payroll system migration or implementation
n
- Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
n
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations and data analysis
n
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality and the ability to meet strict payroll deadlines
n
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; confident supporting employees and managers across multiple sites
