Allens is a leading Australian intellectual property firm, combining top litigation and commercial skills with specialist patent and trademark expertise. We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our IP practice in Melbourne.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Handle contentious and non‐contentious IP matters, including patents, trademarks, copyright, designs, Australian Consumer Law, brand protection, anti‐counterfeiting, confidential information, trade secrets, litigation, regulation, licensing and transactional work.
n
- Collaborate across teams to deliver high quality service that supports clients in acquiring, managing, protecting, commercialising, enforcing and defending their IP rights.
n
- Advising clients through the entire life cycle of IP assets – registration, opposition, portfolio management, acquisitions, litigation and enforcement – in partnership with the integrated Patent and Trademark Attorneys team.

Qualifications
n
n
- Experience working in private IP practice in Australia; in‐house and overseas experience is also valued.
n
- Exposure to a range of IP work such as contentious patents, trademarks, copyright, confidential information, designs, licensing and M&A; transactions.
n
- Demonstrated ability to delegate work and supervise junior lawyers.
n
- Solid time‐management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple matters.
n
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including strong drafting skills.
n
- A desire to learn, grow, network and mentor others.
