Project Manager – Cloud

We are seeking a capable and motivated Project Manager to support the delivery of cloud and application modernisation initiatives within a leading higher education. This role is well suited to someone who has hands‑on exposure to transitioning legacy applications and supporting their operation on AWS and/or Azure, and who brings a positive, adaptable mindset to complex environments.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

- $140,000 base + super
- 2‑year Fixed Term Contract, with possibility of extension
- Hybrid working model, 2 days in office.

THE ROLE:

- Support and manage end‑to‑end delivery of cloud and application modernisation projects
- Assist with transitioning legacy applications to run effectively on AWS and/or Azure
- Coordinate project planning, scheduling, dependencies, risks, and issues using PPM tools
- Use Jira to track delivery progress, actions, and milestones
- Work closely with technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
- Support governance, reporting, and compliance with organisational standards
- Contribute to business readiness, change, and adoption activities
- Maintain clear communication across IT, security, and business teams

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience supporting or delivering IT, cloud, or application‑related projects
- Exposure to legacy systems and an understanding of modernisation or cloud transition concepts
- Practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure environments
- Experience using PPM tools and Jira
- A positive attitude, strong learning mindset, and adaptability in changing environments
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches
- Experience in higher education or other large, complex organisations will be highly regarded but is not essential.
