Protech are currently seeking Field Officers to work from theVirginiaDepotwiththe Fire Ant Program through Biosecurity Queenslandstarting27/7/2026 This is an ongoing position and will require thorough and effective surveillance and treatment of insect pests through Southern Queensland.

Key Duties:

n

n
- Visual surveillance and bait treatment for insects
n
- Daily reporting tasks, data collection and record keeping
n
- Driving Company vehicle
n

n

Mandatory Position Requirements:

n

n
- Open car licence
n
- MUSThaveoutdoor work experience in Landscaping, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Land Management and Conservation, Civil OR Hiking/ Bushwalking
n
- MUSTbe physically fit as the role requires substantial walking through challenging terrain up to 10 – 15klm per day
n
- Ability to work in a team environment
n
- Face to Face customer service experience
n
- Pass a drug and alcohol screen
n
- MUSTbe able to complete and pass a Police check
n
