Job Description
ResetData is shaping a future where AI is not only powerful – but sovereign, ethical, and purpose-built for Australia. In a world dominated by offshore models and opaque systems, ResetData offers a secure, onshore alternative that gives organisations true control over their data, deployment, and digital destiny.
n
Through partnerships with Centuria, NVIDIA and Dell, and infrastructure designed for scale and precision, ResetData is helping shape a sovereign AI ecosystem that reflects Australian laws, values, and strategic priorities. More than a platform, ResetData is a partner in shaping Australia's next era of intelligence – one that is self-determined, secure, and aligned to the future we choose to build.
n
This is your chance to play a pivotal role in some of Australia's most significant AI infrastructure builds.
n
Location: Sydney, Australia
n
The role:
n
We are looking for two experienced Infrastructure Project Managers to own the end-to-end delivery of two major data centre builds currently in planning across Sydney. These are complex, large-scale infrastructure projects spanning network, storage, power, cooling, and compute – the kind of programme that requires someone who has delivered serious infrastructure at scale.
n
You will be assigned to one of two projects, working closely with internal engineering teams, vendors, and third-party contractors to deliver on time, on scope, and to the high technical standards required for production AI infrastructure.
n
This is an initial 9 month engagement, with scope to extend as our portfolio of builds grows.
n
What you'll do:
n
n
- Own end-to-end delivery of your assigned data centre build project,
from initiation through commissioning and handover.
n
- Ensure planning, design and delivery integration with facility partners supplying data hall resources like power, cooling, hall construction, structured cabling. Managing dependencies and readiness for hardware and network deployment.
n
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and resource allocation
n
- Coordinate across internal technology engineering teams (Systems, Networks, Storage, AI Ops) and external vendors, contractors, and facilities partners
n
- Manage third-party procurement and vendor delivery in line with project milestones, including network and storage supply chains
n
- Run project governance: stand-ups, milestone reviews, steering updates, and change control
n
- Track and report on budget, schedule, quality, and risk – escalating early when things need to move
n
- Manage commissioning and acceptance testing for large-scale infrastructure (compute, networking fabric, storage, power, cooling) in readiness for customer deployment.
n
- Ensure handover documentation and operational runbooks are ready for the engineering operations team on go-live
n
- Maintain close coordination with the parallel PM and share lessons, risks, and resources across both builds where beneficial.
n
- Maintain registers across the DC delivery for decisions, risk and issues.
n
- Manage and control the build costs to the assigned budget.
n
n
What you'll bring:
n
n
- Proven track record delivering large-scale IT infrastructure or data centre projects – this is not a software delivery or process improvement role.
n
- Background from a bank, Telstra, hyperscaler, or large infrastructure operator (e.g. Airtrunk, NextDC, Equinix) strongly preferred.
n
- Experience managing cross-functional delivery across network, storage, compute, and facilities streams concurrently.
n
- Strong vendor management experience – you have held third-party suppliers to delivery commitments before.
n
- Comfortable with both Agile and waterfall/hybrid delivery models depending on what the work requires.
n
- Explicit and structured communicator – able to produce tight status reports and steer executive conversations.
n
- Familiarity with data centre build programmes (rack and stack, cabling, power provisioning, cooling systems) is a significant advantage.
n
- Experience with GPU or AI infrastructure environments is desirable but not essential.
n
n
What else you need to know:
n
n
- Contract engagement: 9 months initial term, with extension possible as our build programme expands.
n
- Location: Sydney-based, with travel to project sites as required.
n
- Team first: You will be embedded within a passionate, expert engineering team building something genuinely significant for Australia.
n
n
Sound like you? Come join us as we shape the future of sovereign AI and cloud infrastructure.
