Food Technologist (Quality Systems Specialist)

For our client, a fast-growing Australian FMCG food manufacturer producing high-quality chilled products for major retailers, we are currently looking for a Food Technologist (Quality Systems Specialist) to join the team on permanent basis.
n Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role ensures quality systems are effective, audit-ready, and continuously improving.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Own and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), including controlled changes to processes, specifications, and documentation
n
- Lead internal audits and GMP inspections, and manage the CAPA system to ensure strong root cause analysis and timely close-out
n
- Support external audits, including preparation, hosting, and responses
n
- Manage the Approved Supplier Program, ensuring suppliers are assessed,



approved, and monitored
n
- Investigate and close out customer complaints, identifying trends and preventing recurrence
n
- Partner with operations to embed practical procedures and improve compliance on the floor
n

About You

n

n
- Food Science/Food Technology degree
n
- You'll have robust hands-on experience with QMS, GMP and CAPA processes, ideally gained over several years in a regulated manufacturing environment.
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement mindset
n
- Experience with systems such as Fishbowl or SafetyCulture highly regarded
n
- Full Australian working rights
