Technical Sales Representative – Food Ingredients (Experienced or Developing Talent Welcome)

The Company Halcyon Proteins is an Australian-owned manufacturer of specialty liquid and powder food ingredients, based in Dandenong, Victoria since 1946. We are Australia's premier producer of savoury flavour extracts, specialty sauces and malt extract powders – the flavour building blocks that help our customers create great foods for local and export markets.

About the Role We are looking for a Technical Sales professional to join our team. You will work from our Dandenong site, visit customers across a broad base of food industries, and help develop applications and presentations that solve real customer needs. The role involves local and interstate travel and offers genuine variety and growth.

We welcome applications from two types of candidates:

- Experienced technical sales people who can manage key accounts and relationships from day one, or
n
- Motivated individuals with a food science / technology / related background (or strong commercial aptitude)

Key Responsibilities

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
n
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
n
- Work closely with customers to understand needs and resolve issues
n
- Manage key accounts and commercial arrangements
n
- Collaborate across departments to develop and present new products and applications
n

n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Robust communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
n
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
n
- Either: – Proven experience in food ingredient or related technical sales, or – A Food Technology / Science / related qualification (or equivalent commercial experience) plus genuine interest in technical sales and learning the industry
n
