Pipemakers is seeking an experienced and mechanically minded Maintenance Fitter to join our manufacturing team in Deer Park.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified fitter who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, solving mechanical challenges and ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently. You'll play a key role in supporting production through expert die setting, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for carrying performing preventative maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting to maximise equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support efficient production.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Conducting preventative maintenance, repairs and fault-finding on manufacturing equipment
n
- Inspecting machine performance and identifying quality or mechanical issues during production
n
- Maintaining tooling, ensuring correct storage, cleanliness and accurate tooling records
n
- Collaborating with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime and support efficient operations
n
- Ordering maintenance parts and updating tooling records as required
n
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and equipment performance
n
- Maintaining a safe workplace by following site procedures, SOPs, PPE requirements and workplace health and safety practices
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
- Trade qualification as a Fitter with 3–5 years' experience as a Maintenance Fitter or in a similar manufacturing role
n
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
n
- A proactive and safety-focused approach
n
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
n
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
n
- Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance documentation
n
- Experience within plastics, extrusion or manufacturing environments
n
- Knowledge of extrusion tooling, PVC, OPVC or PE production processes
n
- Experience with preventative maintenance systems and equipment troubleshooting
n
- Understanding of quality systems, continuous improvement practices and workplace health and safety requirements
n
