What You'll Be Doing

n

Responsibilities

n

This role plays a key part in transforming architectural and engineering designs into precision-built steel framing models using Vertex BD software. Depending on your experience level, your responsibilities may include:

n

n
- Interpreting 2D drawings to create accurate, buildable 3D framing models in Vertex BD
n
- Producing layout drawings, wall panels, floor systems, and roof trusses ready for manufacturing
n
- Identifying clashes, verifying load paths,



and applying relevant framing standards
n
- Collaborating with internal teams including engineering, production and project coordination
n
- Liaising with clients, project managers or builders to resolve design questions or discrepancies
n
- Producing clear, accurate documentation for manufacturing and site installation
n
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across detailing workflows and output quality
n

n

Full training and mentoring is provided for trainee-level applicants.

We're Especially Interested In Applicants With

n

n
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
n
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
n
- The ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
n
- Familiarity with construction terminology and residential building practices
n
- Experience with Vertex BD, Framecad and/or Revit (highly regarded)
n
- Previous experience in steel detailing, drafting, or residential construction (preferred)
n
- A commitment to learning and growing with the business
n
- Current residency in South East Queensland (essential)
n
