About the Role

n

We are currently recruiting a Part-Time, 3 days a week, Maintenance Services Assistant to join our teams at Lakeside Gardens & Fairway Gardens Retirement Villages in Macksville, NSW.

n

This is a hands-on role where you'll play a key part in maintaining a protected, functional and welcoming environment for our residents. You will support the day-to-day upkeep of the village, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

n

You'll be responsible for general repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting the presentation of both indoor and outdoor areas. No two days are the same, and your work will have a direct impact on the comfort and safety of our residents.

We're looking for someone with a trade background or strong hands‐on maintenance experience who is proactive,



reliable, and takes pride in their work.

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the village
n
- Performing preventative maintenance to ensure buildings, equipment and systems are safe and reliable
n
- Responding to maintenance requests and prioritising urgent issues
n
- Assisting with the upkeep of outdoor areas including gardens, pathways and shared spaces
n
- Monitoring the overall condition of the facility and reporting hazards or larger repair needs
n
- Maintaining tools, equipment and basic records while contributing to a safe working environment

About You

n

You'll be a great fit if you have:

- Practical, hands‐on experience in general maintenance or a similar role
n
- Skills across building maintenance and basic repairs
n
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
- A good understanding of Workplace Health & Safety practices
n
- A National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Strong communication skills and a respectful, professional approach
n
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per year plus $2,650 for meals and accommodation
