One of Australia's leading commercial steel pipe manufacturers is seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of their Wollongong facility. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with experience in steel manufacturing, warehouseoperationsor industrial logistics.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead and support the daily operations of the steel pipe yard and workshop;
n
- Supervise, mentor and coordinate the workshop and yard team;
n
- Manage inventory, receipting, stock transfers and annual stocktakes through EXONET;
n
- Coordinate freight, dispatch and deliveries while liaising with transport providers;
n
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks when required;
n
- Maintain an organised yard, ensuring stock rotation and storage is managed efficiently;
n
- Conduct pre-start inspections and coordinate servicing of forklifts, bandsaws and workshop equipment;
n
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies;
n
- Coordinate annual staff performance reviews and support ongoing team development; and
n
- Work closely with the office and management teams to prioritise and allocate workloads.

About You
n
n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role;
n
- Previous experience within the steel manufacturing, steel distribution or industrial logistics industry;
n
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control and freight coordination;
n
- Forklift Licence (LF) is advantageous but not essential;
n
- A hands-on leader with excellent organisational and communication skills; and
n
- Ability to work autonomously while fostering a positive team environment.
