Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and hands‐on Junior Site Manager to support the delivery of ongoing construction and refurbishment works within a school environment. This role is ideal for a recently qualified carpenter looking to take the next step in their career toward becoming a licensed builder, gaining exposure to site management, compliance, stakeholder coordination, and project delivery.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Team to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while maintaining the operational requirements of a functioning school.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Assist with day‐to‐day site management, coordination of trades, and sequencing of works.
n
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with WHS legislation.
n
- Liaise professionally with school staff, contractors, and project stakeholders.
n
- Monitor progress, quality, and site documentation.
n
- Support toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings.
n
- Ensure site security, student safety, and controlled access at all times.
n
- Assist with procurement, deliveries, and site logistics.
n
- Contribute to problem‐solving and issue resolution on site.
n

Requirements
n
n
- Trade qualification in Carpentry (recently qualified encouraged to apply).
n
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
n
- Construction White Card.
n
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Strong understanding of construction site operations, WHS requirements, and safe work practices.
n
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff, students, and contractors.
n
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
n
- Ability to follow direction while gradually taking on more responsibility.
n

Highly Regarded
n

- Experience working in live environments (schools, hospitals, aged care).
n
- Basic computer literacy (site reporting apps, email, digital forms).
n
- Exposure to subcontractor coordination or small‐scale supervision.
n
