Junior/Intermediate Structural/Post-Tension Engineer

Qualifications & experience

n

Recently completed an Engineers Australia accredited four-year Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent.

n

1–3 years' Australian structural engineering experience

n

Robust communication and interpersonal skills

n

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

n

Positive attitude and willingness to learn

n





Eligible for Membership status of the Institute of Engineers Australia (MIEAust)

n

Tasks & responsibilities

n

Assist with structural analysis, design and engineering calculations

n

Prepare structural design documentation and reports

n

Work under the supervision of senior engineers on a variety of engineering projects

n

Assist with structural modelling and engineering computations

n

Coordinate with engineers, drafters and other project team members

n

Attend site inspections when required

n

Deliver quality work while meeting project deadlines

n

Continue developing technical knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering practices

n

Experience using one or more structural engineering software packages, such as INDUCTA, RAPT, TEDDS, WALLAP, Microstran, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000 or RAM Concept, will be an advantage.
