High-Needs Support Worker (Female) | Private Home | Ongoing Casual - Permanent considered

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable female support worker to join our small, family-oriented team to provide high-needs care for a young adult with a complex physical disability. This role goes beyond standard support work and requires a professional who is truly interested in helping this individual live their very best life.

Critical Requirements:
n
n
- You must have fluent spoken and written English. This is essential for reading, understanding, and strictly following complex policy documents and care instructions.
n
- This role is physically demanding. You must be robust and capable of performing manual handling and high-needs physical support.
n
- Applicants must hold full, unrestricted Australian work rights and be eligible to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
n
n

Training / Qualifications:
n
n
- Certificate III or higher in disability support or a nursing related course (or the willingness to obtain). And/or equivalent demonstrated experience in delivering high intensity supports.
n
- Training in specialised high needs support (or the willingness to obtain immediately on commencement): Dysphagia support, Seizure management, Wound management, Medication Assistance, Manual Handling, and Communication.
n

Clearances:
n
n
- NDIS Worker Screening check
n
- National Police check
n
- Working with Children check
n
n
Licence:
n
n
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and insured reliable vehicle.
n
n
Certifications:
n
n
- Current First Aid (within 3 years) and CPR certificates (within 12 months).
n
n
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
n
n
- Deliver high-intensity daily personal activities and personal care
n
- Provide mealtime and feeding support
n
- Provide therapy support - assisting with prescribed mobility exercises
n
- Implement and follow specialised health support plans
n
- Provide meaningful social and community participation support
n
- Provide domestic assistance
n
n
Immediate start -
n
On the job training will commence immediately
n
Availability Requirement:
n
Must be available for shifts between September and December due to being a peak leave period for our existing team, a leave blackout period applies during these months. We are building a 24/7 roster alongside existing staff which include shifts for daytime, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekends. Candidates with adaptable availability will be highly regarded.
n
Employment Type:

This is an ongoing casual position, however permanent placement will be considered for the right applicant.

Pay Rate:

Hourly rates are paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award with penalty rates matching your specific shift times.
